The Drew Biography
Drew was born on the 22nd of February 1975 into a great acting dynasty consisting of John Drew Barrymore and Ethel Barrymore. Her great acting career began from when she was only 11 months old in a puppy choice dog food commercial, and went on to star in Altered states in 1980 at the tender age of five. But her big break came in the Spielberg movie ET in 1982 which shot her to stardom and earned her the Youth Film Award aswell as a Bafta nomination for most outstanding newcomer. But her career began to decline as a result of drugs and alcohol, where she smoked her first joint at the age of nine, became drunk at Rob Lowe's party, was dope-smoking at the age of 10, and was coke-snorting at the age of 12. After a failed suicide attempt at the age of 13, she wrote her bigraphy Little Girl Lost. She took heroine at the age of 13 and consequently was put into rehab, where she stayed for a couple of months. However she escaped and swiped her mothers card to go to Hawaii, but was caught on the way there by a couple of policemen who were sent for her by her mother. So, having stayed in rehab, she began to make a full recovery and was free from drugs and alchohol. Drew then went through a wild period posing nude on numerous occasions including for Playboy when she was 18, and also flashed her breasts for Letterman for his birthday. Her fading film carrear was however ressurected with Poison Ivy in 1992, which again shot her to stardom, and this consequently led to other successful small screen movies like guncrazy ( for which she earned a Golden Globe award for best actress ), and Boys on the side, the Amy Fisher story and Doppelganger. She then married the Welsh bar owner Jeremy Thomas in 1994 and their marriage lasted only for a couple of months. So although her film carrear was really taking off once again, it was not until Woody Allen's movie Everyone Says I Love You was released and Wes Craven's movie Sream where she earned huge stardom and which led on to the highly successful movie The Wedding Singer with Adam Sandler which not only established her once again as one of Hollywood's leading actresses, but also as Hollywood's darling. After the hit Ever After, her new movie Never Been Kissed will be released soon and she is rumoured to be one of the stars of the remake of Charlie's Angles.
